Great information! Does this work in eastern Washington lake's? Like potholes reservoir?
Gramps always said "the fish know how to eat, you dont need to help em, just feed em what they want after you find em"
Can this clevis-based rig with a bottom-bouncing weight of some kind also work for cast & retrieve, or only trolling?
Amazing information. Getting my first boat ready for spring and have never trolled before. Will bookmark this and use it to try and figure things out. Thank you!
You're basically the MacGyver of walleye fishing.
Do you add bait to the hook?
Super informative video for beginners and seasoned fisherman alike to save time rigging. The versatility of this rigging tutorial will save you time and money.
Great Info , thanks !
Hell yeah 303!!!!! New sub!!! I was absolutely crushing the smallies at Chatfield today, its been a long time since I caught so many fish I lost count. I may go try to get some walleyes tomorrow evening. Something I can actually eat lol. Let me know if you are gonna hit chatty and you have an extra spot in the boat. Love to share some stories and knowledge. I could use some new fishing buddies!!
Just excellent information many ways to rig but make quick changes without wasting time. I have made a dozen ready to go spinner rigs for my next walleye trip was wondering if the rigs I use would be ok. My rig starts with a bead, #2 blade on plastic clevis, a few beads, a float, a few beads and another float. will the double float result in too much buoyancy so the rig will be to vertical above the weight and not work properly ?
Some great info man, I’m an avid Walleye fisherman. New to the Colorado walleye scene. Just fished the Pueblo tournament last weekend, finished middle of the pack. I’ve got my son to be born in a few weeks, looking to do as much fishing as possible prior to, I’d love to get out and wet some lines with you brother. Looking forward to your response.
Got a link for the little black slider clip?
Nice tutorial! If i have to use bait to catch walleye, that is the an indication for me to go west for some trout and enjoy the serenity of the wild instead of the zoo that is Chatfield, Cherry Creek or anything around metro haha.
Great info there! i'm new to the live bait rigs so this is perfect…especially since i live pretty close the Chatty…now i just need the supplies!
Thanks for that info, I forgot I just need to get back to basic fishing. Heading out Thursday can't wait to give it a try!
Great info thanks for sharing.
