You don’t have to go through your hand and index finger..just form a second loop in front of your thumb and index finger…results are the same!!
A quick note here…if the loop is tied correctly the tag end will be 90 degrees to the main line..if not it’s not tied correctly.
Very easy to tie and strong…I think it’s just as strong as the figure 8 loop.
I was pleased with Trilene mono line enjoyable.fishing recommend performance (25 lb. test) because it offers smooth casting with no tangles/bird's nest in the spool. And, knots can be tied effectively with ease. I would recommend.

Man this is quick and easy. Took me a minute to figure out the jig placement. Maybe update with a jig in use. Love it though!

They way you were explaining it and showing it, it looked like you were going through both loops at the end. You could have easily said go through the back loop only.
FYI: The original name of this knot is the Angler's Loop.

Great vid. I found that there seems to be a trick to cinching the knot down correctly though, that is making the difference between it slipping or holding. Am I missing something ?
