thanks!
Nicely done ✅👍
Double Uni is my go to for attaching leaders. No breaks, line snaps before the knot does
Excellent!
I love this knot but i have had slippage occur. So in order to make it work better, I wrap around 3-7 times like the man did but i take the tag end and wrap it back through the loop near the hook, then pull everything tight and it has never failed since.
Deez nuts.
I learned a knot from your video, thank you! 😁
A nice short video with various applications of the uni.
Thank you 👍
I don't get vids of 8/10 minutes to tie a knot that's a ridiculous time.
Thank you for this, it was a lot easier than I thought.
The uni is the go to knot for braid BUT its only 70-80% as strong on mono as the clinch knot while the clinch knot does hold on braid at all.
Been using Uni knots since I started fishing as a kid back in the 1960's… and I've NEVER had one fail. P.S. You can also tie a Uni knot quite easily at nighttime in the dark simply by the 'feel' of it.
Thanks from South Africa.
thanks for the simple and clear instructions.
Best video thank you very much 👊
Thank u 🙏 for making this video and u got one new sun
Fantastic video love this know
I’ve watched so many videos on how to tie a good fishing know. This is by far the best one.
The improved clinch, palomer, and uni knots all work excellent and are really quick and easy to tie. Doing it simple is always better in my opinion because it gives you way more consistency
this was so helpfull
Lmao I legit forgot how to
Nearly everyone does just 4 loops for GT fishing. This may be in part due to how thick the line is but ive had no issues with 4 wraps on light tackle. The knot will never be the weak link if you do this knot right.
Also it looks a lot nicer if you hold the knot preventing it from spinning as you tighten it, all the loops will line up perfectly snug.
Cheers I've been doing it wrong since I've seen this demo now I know
Looks easy for you, us Yetis have a hard time tying knots.
fantastic guide, ty
MAKE IT LIKE #6 MY BEST WAY TO REMEMBER😎 IT'S SO UNIVERSAL.
Very good video, I like the uni and have used it, but I like to see it done with someone who explains it so well I don't fish as often as I'd like to and I need to refresh my memory occasionally. Thanks for sharing
Perfect size hook for hatchery catfish that weigh between 3-5 lbs. my lip hook almost all the time unless your bait is very much desired by the fish>>> allabout.wiki/1004 It's very durable made from hardened steel, I believe. You can use it over and over. It never rusts in my tackle bag. I use a knot less snell with a 25 lb mono filament leader line from Kastking for this hook. Its point is very sharp and can easily land a thieving fish. We landed many catfish with this hook. Best purchased in packs of 25 which should last you throughout the season.
Going thru hook eye twice makes it 20 percent stronger
Excellent video. I always use Uni knots and double Uni knots. When I join braid to fluorocarbon, I don't flip everything around to make the second knot. I just make an "inverted 6" and it comes together just the same.
Excellent demonstration
no matter how hard i try i can’t tie it. i’ve been trying for 2 hours to tie this damn thing and just can’t do it
I know this as the 6 knot because you have to make a 6 shape then you wrap it 6 times before pulling it tight.
Can you loop around the hook eye twice to make the knot stronger?
U r so unclear
This will be my staple knot from now on! cheers!
We always did 7 twists. I watch another video just before yours, and dude did like 4 and I was like "bruh. That shit needs to be 7" but that's just because that's the way in was taught
Can you use the uni knot to change the fishing line
I always go double around the hook with any knot, hence the palamore knot because it doubles through the eye lid and the uni knot but just go around the eye twice
