HUGE California Yellowtail! Catch Clean Cook (California Deep Sea Island Fishing)
This is the 2nd video from @Brook Crist Outdoors and I trip to Southern California. We fished with Brian Norris of Fin Fetish Charters out of Marina Del Rey, California. On the first day we started out by catching a variety of species of rockfish (which will be in another video). Then we headed over to Santa Barbara island which is one of the many channel islands just off the California coast. We fished live sardines and live squid on bottom rigs targeting White Seabass, Halibut and Yellowtail aka Hamachi. The scenery off the California coast is beautiful and there is an abundance of life around the island. We filleted up a giant yellowtail and prepared it poke style, as well as nigiri a type of sushi dish. We still have 3 more videos from this trip, with tons of different species! Be on the lookout!

you should do california rockfish vs alaska rockfish I would recommend one of the two boats out of santa barbara CA mainly because that area is known for the size and quantity of the fish one is the stardust and one is called the coral sea

Welcome to California Vic and Brook! Glad y'all had a chance to fish some of our prized West Coast game fish. Definitely gotta chase some bluefin or yellowfins when y'all are here, and try some rock fishing too. Our sheepshead, lingcod, Vermillion, Sculpin, Bocaccio, and other various rockfish are delicious. Tight lines! 🤙

I have been fishing since the 1950's off Trout River Florida. Have old pictures dating back to 1959. Still love fishing just not close to any fishing spots. Your videos are the most amazing videos.
