As the Fall Transition occurs grass starts dying off in our lakes. Bass have a choice to either hold in the dying grass or run for hard cover. In this bass fishing video Matt explains that most bass will immediately pull to hard structure like rocks, laydown trees, stumps, etc.
This transition makes the largemouth bass very vulnerable to jig fishing. What was once an endless field of grass is now a shoreline dotted with obvious cover that will be holding all of the fish. You can break these areas down very quickly and effectively with a bass jig by flipping and pitching to each piece of structure that you come to.
