Somebody came up with this
Steve Urkel knot.
Nice knot but unless I'm wearing a vest it's too short
Honestly, this just looks like a bloated Windsor knot with unneccesary, added steps.
if you learn full Windsor first, it's basically muscle memory to do this.
Music name? Please.
Far from perfect. The edge of the tie is supposed to be below .25" from belt buckle
Tie ends halfway down your shirt?? Haha absolutely awful
Why is it so short? It looks like he’s wearing
a toddlers tie.
Bro just saved my prom I appreciate it king
Thank you!!!
You simple twat!!! According length
So basically it's same as the full Windsor knot with and extra turn to add thickness and shorten the length.
So like a double windsor but with one more step?
Cheers
Thanks for the vid. Some shirt collars are not made for ties and a half Windsor w the sides showing make u look like a bumpkin. This knot is massive and covers the lateral spread and makes me look like I know what I’m doing!
Pro tip: if you like this look, buy a big/tall size necktie to compensate for the short length
This is pissing me off
Took me 20 min to figure this shit out. You were helpful but too fast god damnit. 👍👍👍
Thanks guys! Best man for a wedding, I have 15 minutes until they get here, made this just in time! Perfect!
This was a bad guide next time go slower
This is double windsor right?
Just know that starting with the thin end higher will make this tie longer. It is not intended to be worn this short…ever. I don't care who invented it, it's not worn like that. Great video though. Kudos.
Length stupidity
2 basic mistakes, 1st this is short as it should be worn with a vest, so that it does not extend below the last button of the vest, 2nd, this knot should be worn with a wider collar, ie longer peak to match the size of the knot. Otherwise the collar peaks stand up & out.
I get that your trying to emphasize the tying of the knot, but your length looks clownish. Your tie should reach your belt buckle. Stop setting a bad example…
The cravat, as a symbol of elegance and cultivation, originates from the Croats. Namely, the Croatians were bound in themselves with the paintings of the paintings. This "Croatian style" won the Parisian bandwagon and they adopted a new fashion item "a la Croate"! So the tie went into the city's fashion and won Europe and the rest of the world. Apart from French and German, the word tie is also mentioned in some other European languages. The tie as an expression appears in the 17th century. The meaning of the term was initially different, from the expression of the Croatian horseman to the fashion detail. Permanent fighting against the Turks, they made Croatians very valued soldiers. Sold Croatian soldiers had a unique military uniform, using a recognizable detail of the neck around the neck, the forerunner of today's cravat. The reason why Croatian soldiers wore such knobs around the door can be found in the Croatian puppet tradition. The brides gave their fiancées a fringe as a sign of mutual fidelity. It was initially made of linen linen and lace, and often of very precious silk. Silk scarves, besides their beauty, also had another function – due to the slipperyness of the material itself, the soldiers' neck was often kept in the battle, because the blade of the sword would simply slip through the maram without causing cuts. This at first military clothing item is soon to be used in the fashion of the second half of the 17th century: French King Louis XIV. it starts to wear because of its simplicity with respect to high collars and even employs a personal cravat. From France, Europe is expanding, and the English are introducing a specific method of engagement, as well as colorful colors. The American textile Jesse Langsdorf cuts the fabric in three parts and sews it again, making it easier to tie and manufacture. Many people are surprised to know that Croatia is home to the tie, and the biggest cravat distributors; Croate, Michelle and Stephen Crocker, add: "What's coffee for Brazil, and watches for Switzerland, it's a tie for Croatia." On October 18, 2008, the Croatian Parliament proclaimed the Day of Ties. Since then, Dan is cravating and officially celebrating in Croatia and in some parts of the world.
My favorite knot and currently seen more frequently thanks to the Hannibal series. It must be worn with a vest, though. If you would have shown that I'm sure there would have been less negative comments
👍👍👍
Do you realize how stupid the length of this tie looks ?
