I set out to fish the Pensacola Beach pier where there seemed to be NO SHORTAGE of sharks lurking in the shadows. There were plenty of Spanish mackerel caught.

I used to kill the Spanish w/ those gotcha jigs off the Ft. Walton Beach pier back in the day…..the bright green head and silver body got em every time….out of curiosity, do you ever fish the Ft. Walton Bch fishing pier? I haven't been back up to the panhandle for 25 years….

Vitamin D I just found your page and those moon fish or crazy fish are actually called leather jacks. Moon fish are look downs . I live in Pensacola and caught about 30 Whiting yesterday and kept 23. Good luck
