I totally agree. I have started using a similar setup. I like using 12 hi-vis yellow mono to 10 lb fluorocarbon leader Alberto knot. Two 1/4oz weights, 2 bobber stops, ewg or straight shank hook. Hi-vis cuz my eyes such and I'm a line watcher.

Always enjoy your videos! Now, Iām not new to bass fishing nor do I know all there is to know about bass fishing. Growing up, all I used was a Texas rig on mono line on my bait caster. I have seen videos on how to fish with Carolina rigs but have never tried it myself. What are the benefits of using a Carolina rig? Is it a way to keep the weight off the head of the bait to make a more stealthy presentation?

Nuce little hack there . Is there a way to add a bead on that set up as well ? Just add it between the bobber stop and peg?
Can't change leader line material nor lb test, the weight dragging bottom will move stopper, and a couple other reasons I don't feel this is a ligit alternative rig.
If you don't trust tying knots to swivel , what's difference to tying to your hook?
C Rig has caught millions of bass thru the years, its arguably one of the best ways to catch bass!….learn to tie knots !!
