What is the easiest way to tie line to line without breaking it

If you put your mono line in hot water before you start to reel it on it will take away the memory and make new memory as it goes is other than that great stuff

I would put black electrical tape onto the reel before the braid so that you don’t need to go through putting mono backing and the tape prevents slipping of the braid just fyi
I just bought this reel. Will it hold up to 10-25lb BLACK DRUM REDFISH AND SHARK?!?!?!???????? Or just 10-25lb hard fogging fish
