The drag in that reel is constantly on, which means tightening it will prevent it from turning the spool if the handle gets bumped.
Why tighten the drag down? The reel handle could accidentally get rotated and and break the rod.
Yes sir. I broke 2 tickle sticks not storing them properly as instructed in this video. It was an expensive lesson.
