There are people that live in central WV that don't really consider you all in the panhandles as true West Virginians. You gotta come further into the state to get the full immersion of what WV really is.

I've visited WV a couple of times and fell in love. I'm from NJ but am seriously considering making the move. I've always been a simple person who greatly appreciates the outdoors and I'd love for my 7 yr old to be able to grow in WV. I'm also an exterminator so the bugs are not a problem,!
if you dont like getting behind tractors STOP eating!!!! at some time in my life i will need a doctor a dentist a nurse a cop a mechanic and plumber a electrician BUT every day with out fail i need a farmer! and farmers are the ONLY business in the states who are NOT allowed to set prices for what they produce unless they sell direct! and NO union will represent farmers! and farmers spend LOTS of hours away from family working in ALL kinds of weather so we can eat!
If you don't like WV why did you retire in our Beautiful state. No state is perfect after all DC especially.
Almost Heaven West Virginia is my home and I love it.
I’ve moved away from WV twice. Once to New Hampshire for 5 years, and once to Florida for 2 years after retiring. Both times…. Once the novelty of a new place wore off, and we went real estate hunting I was homesick for WV.
You can buy a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath brick home for under $200.00 in a nice area. We pay 1/2 of what we payed in rent in Florida for a house payment here.
We love the kick back,relaxing lifestyle here, compared to the rat race fast paced Florida. Driving here is relaxing versus chaotic in Florida.

Sounds like you need to go to DC, this state has mountains, not hills, this state has a lot of farm land. We also have a lot a water areas, that is the reason for the deer, the bugs, and the roads that have a lot of curves, We have good people in this state that would help anyone in need. Could this state be better in ways, of course, but so couldn't every state.
