Nice! I did guess wrong spool – but never would have guessed there was a prior improper repair. I would have taken it completely apart and banged my head on the table. 😂

Thanks for the tutorial. Really appreciate it. I have a Pursuit and the line lay seems to be uneven but it’s not really too much on bottom or on top. It’s more like it’s just even randomly and a bit less line in the middle and especially in certain areas. I have a picture and everything but the reason why I looked into it is because I was getting a lot of wind knots
there was a a loose nut behind the reel, that knows just enough to be dangerous

Hey Dennis, can't count how many times I've gotten into repairing a reel only to find someone's been there before me and omitted parts or tried to use parts from another reel that don't fit. It's like when you show a Penn conventional reel with the freespool lever on backwards, dead giveaway that someone doesn't know what they're doing, bottom line is, if it's not something obvious, then it's something you would never think could happen. Expect the unexpected!!!! Keep up the tuitional videos, I learn something new every time!
