If the day was just a little longer I'd give it a shot, but I just got home from work and it will be dark in an hour

After being out walking around in a fresh new layer of 2-3'' quite a bit today (walked to 7-11, woo what a trip :D) , I kinda wish I had the means to get out and give it a shot, considering it wasn't as cold today as it has been the past 3 or 4 days... but I feel good that once it warms up a bit, there will be a lot of fish moving! Just have to be patient... :)

Hahahaha... Don't know where I got it. I guess from my Uncle, the one who taught me to fish. But not having a car and having to rely on others for a ride probably helps, haha. Ater my uncle passed away that's what I've had to do in order to get out there. He used to take me nearly every day in the summer and beyond... he loved to fish to the day he died and he passed it on to me from 2 years old and on. Sad, I know... but I'll do whatever it takes to get out on the water whenever I can.
Oh, and i'm 19 on Friday by the way :D woo hoo!

Happy Birthday to you, may you have many a tight line, great battles with chrome, and bountiful stories to tell in the future. I am glad to hear that you had a great mentor in this obsession that we pursue and sorry to hear that he is gone. We should all be so lucky. Congratulations for having the foresight to appreciate the times that you cannot fish as well as the times that you can, relish in your patience as it will pay great dividends to you in the future.

Thanks! Its not till Friday :D But I appreciate the good kudos all the same! Hopefully it will translate to some fish sometime in a week or two :)
I am extremely thankful to have had someone in my life that has been able to show me something that is so fun and such a great way to experience nature, as I know a lot of people who never have had that chance. He taught me to experience it, love it, take care of it, and pass it on, of course. Its something that I've never felt more strongly about in my whole life, and through the good and bad times, it has stayed with me and will continue to do so! :D

Well, I guess the weather is going to kick our butts again on Saturday night or Sunday. I was hoping that Old Man Winter would take a break but I guess not. Anybody been out on the Sandy this week????
