So me an my friend just got back from the lake, and I ended up catching this nice fish! I do swear once or twice and we get excited so sorry 4 language lol. Check out the video! :)

We weighed it later on and it weighed 3 1/2 pounds, and 25 inches :D

Kind of funny, the first year I lived up here I was throwing 3 inch Kalins june bug bass grubs off the point at the mouth of the Clackamas River and I caught and release a huge crappie like that. A few hours later I got another along the bank closer to the motel. Never seen them there again? That was like 15 years ago and I still try for bass there at least once a year. Just have not seen the Willamette crappies there since that one time.

Hahaha yea i'v had a few like this size before, last year I caught 3 3 1/2 pounders on rattle traps for bass fishing. That day i was actually fishing for gar with a rather large shad.. who knew the crappie would hit it lol

I heard a rumor from a friend back in oregon that theres a part on the columbia where he catches 2 pounds or better size crappie, keep your eyes open an maybe youll strike gold!

Yeah up around the docks in down town there are some big crappie but you cant eat them.

Bummer, Down here on a certain time of year u cant eat them, they'll have some kind of worm in the meat and will get u sick if u eat it.

Prineville has a good population but we only get ones the size of your hand at best.

Those Prineville crappies need thinned out! We were there for a weekend and prolly caught upward of 300 of those things and made the mistake of keeping about half. Talk about a lesson in filleting! They are one of the more scrumptious panfish oregon has to offer though:D

I know theres crappie at Chinook landing. Off the docks when theres not alot of Boat traffic.
