Trout Fishing Boat Rental???

Hey All,
Wondering where to rent a boat and do some trout fishing? My cousin is coming to visit from New Mexico at the end of August and wants me to look into a boat rental for the day. He wanted me to look into Promontory Park, but I thought I'd check and see what ya'll had to say........ Preferably somewhere in the Mt. Hood area, easy day drive from town. I've fished a lot of the lakes up there but can't remember where they have boat rentals. Lost Lake, Timothy, Harriet, Clear? Any input would be appreciated.....

None of those do except maybe Promotory but it is like paddle boats. The only one I know of is Prineville resevior and that is almost 4 hours for some of you to drive.

You can rent a small fishing boat here for $180 a day.

I know it's not the area just giving options. Hagg Lake over here on the West side does boat rentals.

I know that Promotory Park (the last time I was there) should offer Patio/Pontoon Boats that have driving consoles (which actually are pretty nice and fun to fish out of, I have fished out of them quite a bit years ago) and as well as smaller run by hand motor boats. I would give them a ring just to make sure, and you can get a reservation as well.

detroit lake use to rent boats not sure if they still do ? we sunk one back in the 90's haha

yep just checked detroit lake marina rents boats and its actually a pretty good deal
