:cool: Here are a few pics from October...There was more but I didnt wanna flood your hard drive with just my adventures. October is always nice because local fishing pics up and I can still fish in the affternoons with the somewhat shortening days of Fall. Color starts to show in the trees around the same time your skin starts to feel the chill of coho season in the air.

Massive balls of darkening coho salmon are literaly stacked on top of each other! I do not care to count them, because this is the scene in every section of the pond....So thats where all those Eagle Creek fish ended up! HaHa just joking you know...:cool:

Speaking of Eagle Creek, here she is on the drop in the last warm days of October and just like me, waiting for the fish to come back.

Chinook season is also well under way in most of the Columbia River tributaries. My home river enjoyed decent Fall fishing this year and I REALY enjoyed the extended warm Fall days we had to go with it.

Spawning Fall salmon in the home river! Very exciting! A welcome sight! Bring on the spawn! .... just stay away from the beds with anything but your camera please :mad:

Meanwhile back at the lower river Matthew is walking a stretch of river that has been producing chinook salmon for 2 weeks now. Tossing a large hammered blade spinner through a troth at the top of a deep hole, he hooks up with a real bruiser of a salmon!

There he goes! Swimming right back to the very spot he was before all this craziness happened! That was some battle on the 8 to 12 spinning gear.. darn glad I put fresh 12LB on before I left for my afternoon walk :o

Lastly taking a few minutes to acknowledge the awesome Fall colors, here is one of an ancient stand of trees, recently unearthed by years of flooding along the soft sandy banks. Colors are glowing nicely on this late October evening, as close as we will get to a sunset for this month :cool:
