View Full Version : Is it too early to plan a SSSF Summer Camp Trip

With some of the campsites needing early reservations (Timothy Lake), Would it be too early to begin planning a summer camping trip for whoever was interested?

I would say that the first thing would be to identify who is interested, and then make a suggestion for a camp site.

I like the Yale Lake campground, and also the Hood campground on Timothy Lake. Time to get out the crawdad trap!

that sounds like a good idea Timothy is a good place because the speed limit is 10 mph so we dont have to compete with the ones wanting to ski but Merwin and probley Yale i know have tiger musky in them but then you have the skiers(nothing against it just like to fish) my family would love be part of this if its happens

Oak Fork is a great section! I love Timothy as well. Always a fun place to chill out. Close to home, and it seems years away from the real world sometimes, early in the season.

Umm, is this an official campin trip? If it is, just shell out dates, and I would make plans to show up if I were to be invited. You know if pirates were invited and all:D

I think it is good to meet before hand. It seems to seal the deal in that everyone gets a chance to meet in advance. I love Timothy lake! I know how to fish in it to!

I'll pass on the pizza, but I'll be there for the trip.
Pizza sucks when you can't eat cheese!

So Matthew. This is sounding like it has has some decent interest. It would be fun to have a decent group of members, and their families at Timothy. I don't have much family, but I have a couple friendly dogs. If there is a little bit of notice, and planning this could be really killer. Super fun I'm sure. I look foward to any camping I get to do this year, and it is just that much better with great company.

Al, how can you live without cereal? I eat Total n' raisins, or Corn Chex for almost every meal. Disgustingly lacking in variety, but not in nutrients! Haha. Lamesauce, I know.
