Hey everyone.
I haven't posted in a while so I thought I might post a report! I went to Salish Ponds today and caught 4 nice sized crappies and a few bluegill. And I seen some reallly nice Bass but I couldn't get them to bite. Still a little early but I'm guessing that in two weeks from now you can be able to take your kids out to your local lake and catch bucket fulls of bluegill! I used a size 14 treble hook and a small piece of worm, sight fishing primarily.

Good luck!

Yup, they're being pulled from the Big C too....I contemplated trying for them on the Willy this morning. Maybe next week.

under a float, or just cast and retreive? I need to get the kidlets down there.

I'm guessing cast and natural float to the bottom. ultra light line to allow only casting the hook and worm.

I can see why the sig line changed :D

They're cruising around in the puddles by my house too, and with the warm weather there was some awesome surface action for trout!

Yeah I don't know why but I skipped fishing before work this entire week. I can't wait to start getting these guys again! As soon as I get the first one on hardware I'm full blown committed to catching them on the fly.

Sounds like a worthy challenge! Pic when it happens please, the fly thing that is.

Oh there will be! I participated in a warmwater fly swap and have a goal to get a picture of one on each of those flies!

I bought a few size 14 hooks that I'm gonna tie some things on for them.
Heres a crappie I caught yesterday!
I played Wide Reciever in Middle School, so my hands around about 8-9" long from palm to middle fingertip.

Try both. I've always had good luck with a bobber.

Very Cool TB, Thanks for posting the pic. The Crappie in that lake have been eluding me for several years. I can see them but just can never get them to bite. Thanks for showing me that it can actually happen.:)

Cast and retrieve just a worm.
