I remember what I felt like when my daughter had surgery Rob, that's a feeling no one should have to experience. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and Brady and all of your family tonight...

Surgery is over, they removed 3 inches of his bowel(sp?) which contained a cyst.

He has a 4" incision next to his belly button. The surgeon was pleased with the procedure but has some concerns on some other things that he found and is having some test's ran on samples he took. He believes all will be fine but took the samples to be safe.

Alan will be in the hospital for atleast 5 days and will have a very tough time for the next 3 days atleast, but the outlook is very good! Right now it is a time will tell situation.

Thanks for all the kind words and prayers from all of you guys! It means a great deal to this family!

I'm betting that dog knew something about Alan that the rest of us didn't a month ago.

How's he doing, Rob?

Hi there every one. Rob brought me my computer so that I can post an update on Alan. I first want to say thank you every one for all the prayers and thoughts . Please, keep them coming. There is still a little bit of a rough road to go.

Today we had some small issues. Alan has a fever that does not want to go away. He keeps going between 99-101. So far the doctors dont think that it is from any infections, which is so good. He thinks that it might be because he is breathing shallow from the pain. Hopfully that is all it is and as he starts to feel better it will go away.

Today he slept most of the day with a few times of waking up in pain. Letting us know he needed more pain meds. Tonight he was awake for about 30 minutes for the first time and was talking a little bit. He would hear somthing from another room and ask whats that? Then he would as for a baba and milk, which was the hardest because he can not have anything to eat or drink till he has all his body funtions working again. But im very happy with improvements so far and the nurses here are wonderful!

I will keep every one posted on any thing new. Thanks again every one.
