We headed down friday for some fishin, namely to bring home some ling cod. It was super warm and sunny friday all afternoon, we went to tidal raves and had awesome crab casserole (never knew about that place till this trip, definitely reccomend it), got a top floor room right on the ocean with a nice deck and just relaxed for the first day.

Saturday was time for "work" - it was literally the flattest I have ever been on the ocean. I would have been perfectly comfortable taking a drift boat out there it was so flat, dead serious.
For the tally - Limited on lings in no time flat, and limited on rockfish a little bit after. We kept getting ling after ling after ling so it was making it hard to get through a drift to find some rockfish. We got a couple kelp greenling including a nice yellow one, black and blue rockfish, quillback rockfish, and awesomely enough we got 3 Tiger rockfish (Tyra's favorite!).
We didn't put in for crab, as I don't like to trust this time of the year for them - but it was slow going with about 2 keepers per pot for 5hr soaks out in the ocean. Just outside of us about a mile and one inside of us a hundred yards were commercial crab boats though.
There were a bunch of really nice people on the boat this trip, and a couple of them that read posts here from time to time hooked us up with some crab! Thanks again!

Then we went to lincoln for their "easter egg hunt". If you didn't know this weekend they are hiding a few hundred glass floats along the beach in the driftwood or rocks ect for you to find if you're lucky enough. Well there was somewhere in the range of 800 people per float I would guess so we didn't find any :D
Then we headed to Chinook winds casino on the way out of lincoln. Glad we did! Tyra and I sat down at the Roulette table and got $20 of color. I then proceeded to win a majority of the time, and Tyra did amazing as well. She turned her $20 into $140, and I turned my $20 into $320. Pretty much paid off the whole weekend. Free weekend fishing at the coast - anytime please!
