During a recent trip with Rob Brown of R&B Lure Co. our catch was made up of smaller size smallmouth bass, sea run cutthroat and a few summer steelhead. A very nice river just to look at. We fished in a variety of areas so I took a few photos here and there as we moved around. I did not get any stills of our fish but we did get some video to play with. The highlight of the trip was a lesson in spey casting by Umpqua legend and guide Dean Finnerty. He also showed us how its done on the North Umpqua river with the spey rod and I was fortunate to capture it on film. For now here are the fall colors I promised and some other stuff from along the way.

Still very green up in the canyon on the North. Eat your heart out steelheader's.......This is the one, if you flick fleas.

Rob and Dean admire large schools of "Round Nose Mudsucker" that seemed to be loaded in the forks area.

Many different types of water with different types of fish. I dont have the energy to cover all the different runs. In all a very enjoyable trip with lots of options. I recommend you hire a guide or do alot of research before you go for the first time. I was lucky to be with Rob Brown who knew the area well from a past life. As always his R&B spinners did well for us : )
