Hey all,

So my buddy just received a Lami fly rod as a gift from family and trying to find out some info on it...not sure if anyone here has/uses/fishes them or not. Tried emailing Lamiglas and just not hearing back from them with any info.

Rod has never been fished...was apparently bought back in the early 90's and the family member who purchased just lost interest after they bought it.

Info I have on the rod is:

Lamiglas
F867
7 Line Weight
3 1/16 Rod weight
2-pc rod...

Graphite

Came in a cloth wrap with a custom alum tube from Lami.

Buddy was wondering what it may be worth if he chose to sell it or fish it at this point...anyone able to help me out?

Thanks...

I think it's their older Esprit model. I'd say, go ahead and use it.

Esprit models are great they're the original XMG graphite but with more epoxy. I have a 10wt one. They don't really sell for much as compared to new cost which was in the $300 range. Keep it.

The old Esp drift rods rocked. I would keep it.

Esprit is the best graphite Lamiglas ever pulled. Period.

Speaking of older rods Ian, I don't know if you remember this but, I had this older mint condition bamboo rod that was given to me by one of my clients. I've got it appraised and turns out to be built by a local rod builder and appraised at $1100-$1300.
