Davis Lake Bass.....

I have been fishing Davis lake a lot and falling madly in love. I know Wickiup and Crane Prairie are hard to beat but when one can go to a FLY ROD ONLY lake and catch largemouth bass one after another it is pretty hard to take. My dad and I went the other day and landed aroung 20 or so bass with the average being two pound the biggest is in th epic it went five#. He uses a eight weight I go with a five wt.. There are good numbers of fish in the 4-5 range and litterally hordes ot little guys. So if anyone is in the Bend area and wants to have some incredible fun hit Davis and get ready for a workout. Went back to Davis after monday's bonanza and had even a better day. 25 total to boat with the biggest going 7+ lbs a absolute HOG. Had a fishing derby against my pops 1 pt for a little one 2 pts for over 13". Score Brian 23, DAD 11. Quite a pounding but he again had three of the biggest fish. Just absolutely unreal action.

Better be careful making it a chalenge you could find yourself out late trying to break a tie. Many a night Tracy would wander in late with an unbroken tie between him and Rob on shakers, their score was a point a fish and their scores were anywhere from 15-25 each, god those little guys like to play.

went to Davis this morning and in windy wet conditions KILLED IT... Between my dad and I we had 7 doubles completed with many more uncompleted with one of us losing our end. But managed to get well over 30 fish to the boat with a 5 +lber taking a surface fished popper that was one of the best takes I've ver seen. If yoiu have not been I highly suggest grabbing your flyrod and going on a BASS fishing bonanza.

Now those are some nice bass there bud!! Hmm, looks alot like some of the Tx bass we have down here hehehe:p I'v seen a few ppl down here try fly fishing, an I saw 1 catch a catfish on a fly!:eek: Happy fishin up there!!
