Are you still able to find some fresh fish in these low clear conditions. Lets face it, we need rain. I have a rule, when the rivers up, fish up. When the rivers low, fish low. So how low, is low. How about tidel influence on some of your favorite rivers. If you spend the time to learn a system, you should be able to fish it high up or down low. Not all rivers will be affected by tide, but for those that are, it's a bonus. Fresh fish will still move in on an incoming tide. If conditions are low, it has been shown that they will follow it back out as well. Unless you are a Chum and are just determined to go for it anyway no matter what the level is..:)
As low as the rivers are getting, for some of my favorite fall fishing, I'm leaving the D/B at home and banking the lower stretchs. Fishing the tides, and having some success. My brother and I had a great day yesterday hooking 28 or so and landing 20. We had a few Kings, some fresh Coho, which where Native so they went back and some very fresh aggressive Chum. We where able to utilize several different methods to intice these fish. Float & Eggs, Float and Jigs, Spinners, and Drift Fishing Bait. With the weather we had yesterday, all the hook-ups where a bonus. Make sure you don't leave the gear in the garage just yet, waiting for rain. Go explore some of your favorite systems and learn the lower stretch's if you haven't already. You migh be passing on a great opportunity. By the way the crowds aren't to bad either with everyone waiting for rain. I think we saw two other guys, all day yesterday...

No sir im not finding anything thats not in the act of spawning over here on the "inland" side. Although I have not tried the Sandy in several weeks now.........I suspect if I venture East an hour or 2 I can find the summer run....
