Great Blob of Alaska: Floating sea mass mystery solved.

This has been floating around the airwaves for a week now from when they first spotted the floating ocean mass in the Chukchi Sea. Found to be a harmless algae

Not a very exciting video but you can see what the article is about. Scientists have now discovered that the blob is actually a massive bloom of algae. So far in Alaska, nothing suggests the Chukchi Sea blob is toxic.

Not interesting in the least, but very informative. Thanks Matt. Google Earth tracked a bait ball spanning many, hundreds of cubic miles. I think it was krill, or some other little crusty.
