Found a few shots in the achives from Hood River Valley. I shot these last fall during a cider run on copperhead road, where they make the good stuff...Shot on the outskirts of town.

No blossoms this time of year but lots of colored apples and pears. It is warm and sunny with a breeze. Hood can be seen from many places you go in Hood River. Here, my favorite photo subject "Chrissy" is enjoying carting around in one such pear orchard.

IM always a suckor for boarded up all white churches. "Sunday Warship Closed" but high contrast black & white sign of the times here we come!

Hood is visable from many point in the valley and can be often added in to the background of your shots. I like to run a pretty tight focus to the forground so that the mountains are slightly blured in the background. This adds a touch of 3D depth to your shot.

I always stay into the evening so that my drive home heading West might provide me with a sunset shot from one of the many points along highway 84. This sunset shot was not exactly your flaming aurora but it was shot that same day and from on the water while still in Hood River
