Fighting over the fish will only serve to divert us from our common goal.

Cool thread idea
My favorites are...
1) Camp Ten - Olallie Lake (awesome rainbow fishing literally a minutes walk from camp!)
2) Paul Dennis - Olallie Lake (beautiful campground at the shores of Olallie, with Mt. Jefferson staring right at you every morning - opposite side of the lake from Camp 10)
(Olallie can get cold at night in the early summer months though... and the mosquitos can get bad too... but man its one of my favorite mountain fisheries of all time.)
3) Cave Lake (Northern California) a secret little getaway i discovered with a friend of mine and his dad... been going there annually for 3 years strong in the summer. Wonderful place to fly fish and enjoy the scenic forest of northern Cali
I haven't done enough camping over the last few years, so those are really only my top three... but i hope to do some more soon![]()

oooo yay something i know a little bit about LOL
I really do like camping and exploring even though I always whine about the cold and mosquitos to Matthew lol
Oregon has some great and beautiful scenery
My picks are
1.) Paulina and east Lake ~ http://www.fs.fed.us/r6/centralorego...tlake-cg.shtml. This area has a lot of great attractions and trout fishing. Its in the Newberry National volcano monument area
2.) Timothy Lake ~ always a fun trip! make your reservations though
3.) Rock creek reservoir ~ can be a dry lightning infested area but its somehow always a nice trip. Just don't go when its drained completely
Olive lake in eastern Oregon is a very beutiful wilderness lake their is a small camp ground and boat launch at one end of the lake but the rest has no access unless you boat or hike to it good trout fishing (BIG) Rugged beutiful country and Quiet to, long way from here #1 for me. Clear lake at the begining of the Mckenzie river upper good fishing good hiking #2. Twin lakes resort next to Wikiup Res nice place for the family-bikes-dogs good fishing#3. Coos bay sand dunes we go down take Family and ride the sand dunes#4. And Rock creek It's close for us good fishing and hiking and it close to sevral good fishing holes on White River for brown trout and stockers Also close to Pine Holow. I will sometimes camp at Rock creek and go for the day and do the Ty Vally 3D archery trail shoot #5.
-the end of the road at lost lake (cause the camp groung was full) and the huckle berry pancakes were awesome in the morning
-prineville resevior resort (its not as fancy as you think but the bathrooms are nice) the crappie are so willing to play
-sun strip out of estacada its small but just nice to sit on the shore all day is and listen to the water is relaxing
-anywhere at timothy lake if you know how to find the cokanee
-harriet lake (halfway to timothy from astacada) the trout can get huge and the browns even bigger

fishing is a family thing and crabbing and camping and...
The only "campground" that we stay at is North Twin over by the Wickiup Channel, or Big Bend on the D.
This is a great thread, because with a 5 year old I am changing my camping style. The wife and little girl like a little more civilized camping than I do, so we will have to check some of these out!
