This is a great opportunity for those looking to learn how to rig float systems, drift rigs, spinner rigs, plugs, and some plunking rigs.
Then you'll learn how to fish them - as well as what types of water to look for Chinook in.
This is hands on, on the river!
All you need is your bobber rod and a sturdy (#10-20) drift rod, some slip floats (1.5+ oz systems) and weights, weather apropriate clothes, and a drink. I'll show you the types of spinners I personally like for bank fishing as well as show you some plug options and some plunking options, and how to rig several popular baits.
I am more than happy to answer any questions you have during the clinic to help flatten the learning curve involved with this finicky species!
This clinic will take place on saturday April 24th, that way all that attend will be prepared by the time the Chinook enter the Clackamas in decent numbers. Most of the topics we will cover can be applied to many of the other area rivers as well!
It's just $30 for 3 hours +/- of on the water learning!
Call me at (503) 901-5453 or send me a message if you want to attend.
