I'm guessing your talking about sinking tips. I have a few of those. I wonder if I'm just not getting deep enough. I guess one way to do is to put enough weight on to feel the bottom or get it snagged up. I haven't got that far yet.

Still pretty clueless when it comes to steel fishing.

Do you folks generally just just off the bottom?

How deep/fast of water?
