Thread: Startin' skills.

    I've learned it's about the pattern for Bass just like Trout. Match the hatch. My gold colored Rapalas have been hot this season skipping along just on top of the rocks because they look like crayfish, and that's what the Bass have been eating. So, next one you get, see if you can look into the stomach or one you're going to keep of course, and see what they're snacking on and match as best as possible.

    Heavy Rocky Areas = Crayfish for sure.
    Float from the bank and drift from the boat.

    Very true, and I do try to match alot of the things that are happening, summer and late spring I tend to use plastic lizards and worms due to the fact so many critters are out that time of year. There is a few areas I know that were man made that have concrete slabs all over the bottom, very snaggy but I think would b worth wild with a crank that looks like a crawdad I'll have to give it a try sometime!
