Default Ready for the offshore Dungy's?!

The offshore crab fishery kicks off on Dec. 1st. We have had a lot of weird currents, and foul weather that blew the ocean crab into many of the sheltered bays. Which is great for everyone, both retailers, and sport crabbers. I will be cooking 1200 pounds a week during December. Folks gotta get their holiday crustations! Get ready for a great Winter crab fishery!

About 350 pounds of ****ed off crab!

One by one, in tha drank!

    Simmer for 22 minutes...

    Kickin out some water vapor!

And then ya throw em on ice, and let the people have at it!

Boy that makes me hungary! My cousin came through town the other day after 3 days in Astoria. Had about 120 crab! Can't remember the last time I ate crab til' I was about to explode. Said his best pot was 18 keepers. Can't wait to get out there myself!

I can't wait either! My parents neighbor moved away so we're boatless when we head down to Newport. Drat! They've been looking for a boat for themselves since I dunno....March....needless to say they're quite determined to get a large aluminum boat with low engine hours for very few dollars.
Float from the bank and drift from the boat.

Gabe lets set up a time to go crab, I know a few sweet newport tricks.
Anytime you want to hit those lakes out here and I have an afternoon, I'm down for that too. I don't get over to 'em very often anymore.

I'll be by there to get some before my trip to so. cal. to see my folks. I'll be sure to pick up some more of the smoked salmon bellies. I'm frikin hooked on them! I got a couple pounds of them last weekend. Thanks Ian. Gunna be using it for the turkey day celebration.. I do a good job of smoking my own fish but there is something about their salmon bellies that makes them irresistable!

Two fish swim into a concrete wall... One looks to the other and says " Dam!"
