Default What are your favorite movies?

After sitting on my duff all weekend watching a few movies, it make me think of a great idea for a Coffee House thread post.

I was able to catch Goodfellas and Forrest Gump, the latter being one of my top 3 favorite movies of all time, on TV this weekend. Both of which are timely classics. I also watched The Social Network, which I totally recommend. Its a really crazy movie (exaggeratively) depicting how Facebook was formed, and it has a lot of crazy twists and turns. Really interesting though.

Anyways... what are some of YOUR favorite movies of all time?

Doesn't have to be one, could be top 5 or whatever. Just getting the thought going!

There's my favorite all around waste of time movies....Galaxy Quest, Princess Bride, Rounders, Italian Job, Ronin....I can watch them while doing something else and not feel like I missed anything yet also feel satisfied if I do nothing and just zone into them for the 100th time.

My all time favorite make you wanna get out to the gym then go in the back yard and chuck a spear movie: 300

Damn it's such a good ending to the movie it makes me cry even though I don't wanna cry: 8 Seconds

Best damn emotional drama with a crap load of meaning: Schindler's List

Blow your mind away with theories and what ifs: Usual Suspects and Inception

Star Trek, I can still waste time with that one too.

    I haven't seen Tron yet so I'm curious.....for me it's mood dependent.

Tommy Boy, hands down. Any of the Bourne movies will hook me even if I've seen them in the last week. And lastly, every christmas like a moth to the flame, The Christmas Story.

Bucket List was one that I enjoyed a lot, and as for funny stuff I still laugh at the movie: When Aliens Attack! Ack Akka Dak....
If we would all concentrate on the important things in life, there would be a shortage of fishing poles!

I really liked the Last Star Treck Movie. Came out last year I think?

You all havementioned some great movies especially the Bourne ones. Another good set is Die Hard and if you want a movie that he really gets his butt kicked in is The Last Boyscout. Some good clean funny movies are the ones The Rock, Dwayne Johnson does like The Gameplan and Toothfairy, The Run Down and Walking Tall are good to.

Some sweet movies here! The ones I haven't seen and have been meaning to see from this list I'm going to compile and acquire so I can watch them with my roommates hopefully.

If any of you are into watching extremely R-rated films (maybe you Ryan since you suggested Team America) I highly recommend Machete, that just came out last summer. That movie was unbelievably hilarious.

I really like Jackie Brown, and Pulp Fiction. Snatch is pretty good to. Guy Ritchie is crazy!

Some newer flicks that caught my interest were Inception, Wall Street, and Nowhere Boy. The story of John Lennon, age 15-17... basically the forming of the Quarrymen, til they(John/Paul) find George, and split to Gemany to become the The Beatles. For pure, crazy humor... Get him to The Greek is cool! Extremely funny! The new A-Team movie is a good one if you wanna see pure action. Alpha, Mike, Foxtrot! Hahahahaha! AMF!
