    Default Feathers 'N Fur!

Here is whats been crackin on the vise lately.

The leeches are that new "Dos-Tones" Zonker type strips. And the long, floofy pink things are 'sposed to look like a "Pink Worm." One is weighted, one is not... In the water they move better than plastics, and plus... Now we can fish a decent "Pink Worm" imitation in some of our favorite, no-bait rivers!

    The good 'ol Pinkerton!

These are trout bugs that I have been crankin out... Well I WAS crankin 'em out while the Stones, and SalmonFlys were hatchin. I never got a chance to fish any of my Deschutes bugs this season, but I know they work!

    GoldenStone.

Salmon Fly!(Its 95% perfect! I still need practice to get that tight, domed head, but you get the idea!)

    Green Drake.

The "Stuck-Shuck." Theres gotta be a name for these type of bugs... This is an "all-around" bug imitation that is supposed to represent a small insect halfway hatch'd out of the casing. A crude looking fly, that actually is pretty ornate. Its even got a pseudo parachute tie in! My favorite trout fly this year... Period!

Nice stuff. I have weighted leeches like those ones in the first picture for dead drifting under a float. They are tied on jig hooks with the point cut off and a hook in the end. Stiff mono loop material. Where is the hook at on those big marabou leeches?

Very nice bugs Ian. Whats up with the hi-Def pics? What happened to the crappy cell phone pics? Anyway, that lil' trout fly kinda looks like Wile E. Coyote with a green tie around his neck...

    Thanks guys!

The one thats all pink has a single, "sringer" type hook tied in the very back, its just covered up with marabou, as I tie the first feather in, on the shank of the rear hook. The big boy has two hooks, one where the yellow palmering is, the other is at the head. I also tie these on tubes. Which is what I personally prefer. I saw these guys in B.C. a few years back fishing in relatively low, clear water... throwing big black and red, lead eye leeches on gear rods, instead of spey sticks, and using wingless spin n glos as floats. The dead drift leech was the ticket, and nobody else could fish em proper, without indicators. My dad and I skunked and watched these guys hook into more than a couple. We were even with a guide that had never encountered the rig?!

Ken, I just happened to drain myself of any extra money, and sprung on a digital camera! Im pretty stoked with it so far! But I also tie up the "Nuclear Stuck-Shuck!" With pink UV Ice Dub, Purple Hackle, and green, or yellow deer hair! The shuck looks the most radioactive when done in that sweet green, but the orange, and red also look insane!

    I'd fish them.
Float from the bank and drift from the boat.
