silver lake lewis county
anyone in WA fish this lake lately? i heard there are a lot of bass in it but haven't decided to take the boat there yet. i can only imagine that if the lake is only 5ft
deep throughout, the water must be blazing hot. any toads?

Hiya INsect : ) Welcome to SSSF! I to have heard there is a lot of warm water gamefish in that lake. I tried to find access from the bank one time and failed. I now am to understand it requires a biat for the most part to get to the areas that hold fish. UNfortunatly I never got to try the better part of this lake. I did get into Lacamas one time on a boat and caught a brown trout and a few small bass. Aside from annoying pleasure boat traffic, its a decent fishing lake but I bet SIlver Lake is much better if you can get into it. Best go soon, its gonna get cold soon and shut the warmwater fishes down again for the season.

thanks for taking the time. I mostly fly fish rivers and backtroll but thought a quiet overcast day on still water would be a nice break. I use to have a ton of bass gear when i lived in Calif and haven't fished for largemouth since 2002. I managed to recently buy a cheap casting combo and some plastic worms. I know better to just drive over there and find out for myself minus a trolling motor

My family has a cabin on that lake. I don't fish for bass much...just fish with the kids off the dock. Cast your worms around the island in the middle...I know that is popular. As for public bank access there is a public boat ramp, and just up from there where the bar used to be on spirit lake highway I think there is some access.
