Thread: You guessed it

  1. Default You guessed it

    I am new here. I was pointed in this direction by Ed and George.

    I have lived in Oregon for 46 years and have fished for most of them.

    I started fishing for salmon and steelhead when I was about 20 years old, loved going to the upper clackamas for summer runs in the eighties when there were tons of fish. I didnt catch any of them but it was fun to spot and stalk those fish. Later on I figured out that big ol globs of cruddy store bought eggs wasnt the best tactic. Sure wish I knew then what I know now.

    I have a wife and two kids and own a small business so I dont get out as often as I used to but since the kids are getting older {son 18 daughter 13} and being married for 19 years I am starting to get out more. Always seems my days off dont line up to fish biting though.

    So now that I have bored you more than enough I will quit, {trust me when I tell you I could ramble for hours on here}

    Oh and as a side note. If you ever get the chance to fish with Ed Fast or George it would be a mistake to pass it up. Both are great guys and have forgotten more about fishing than I will learn. They are both very fun to be on the water with.

    Welcome!

    I had the pleasure of fishing with Troy the other day and had a good time! (even though I did break the tip off of his rod, which I had replaced at Lamiglas today....once again; great customer service!)

    I am not 'the man', by the way, I just talk a lot and have a big ego.

    Greetings all -

    I too think Mr. Fast is the man, I believe he is the guide's guide.

    "There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death... It shall be life."

    Welcome aboard. Thanks for the kind words Mr Dean but I'm fairly certain you know far more about fishing than I do. I am very forgetful though so you got that part right.
