Gabe, 3/4 of the way through the swing at the end of a looong 1/4 mile run as the water was shallowing up in the tail out riffles. I clamped down on the running line against the cork, got the drag cranked a couple of clicks and got the fish on the reel. Once I got him close to the bank he took another run and I held my breath when all those loops started going through the guides, but it turned out fine. These long rods are a cadillac way to fight a fish.

Fighting over the fish will only serve to divert us from our common goal.

Matthew, one of the nice things about these skagit lines and heavy flies and sink tips, is you can get the fly much deeper than more traditional summer stuff, so you don't have to get them to rise much. I'm looking forward to the summer fishing myself.

vent+ad, max+ad or just adipose are what they use to distinguish brood, EC, and summers for the clack.

So.....did the order of the clips match the order of the fish in your post? For example, mine was a broodstock fish?
    Thanks.

Yup Charlie, yours was a Brooder.
Float from the bank and drift from the boat.
