    Default Infractions: They're coming

    Hello to All,

In general this is one of the easiest going boards I've ever been on and I enjoy visiting all the time. However, there is an issue that's been discussed in the past and I bring it to the front again. We have members of the board who are just into their teens and we need to keep that in mind when we're finding creative ways around the language sensors.

From this post forward those of you who post with a crafty way around the language sensor or use an acronym that is easily understood as bad language will get an infraction.

Too many infractions will warrant a ban period.

We all know the excitement can get the best of us which is why we'll use infractions. If you do end up with one, please don't take offense. They're simply a noted reminder, like getting pulled over for speeding and let go with a warning, but they will also help us keep track of actual dates for any repeat offenders.

So if we do use bad language and the sensor picks it up does that count, or is it only if we use a crafty way around the sensor?
    I'm confused.

It's only the crafty way around the sensor replacing your language with *****

I thought thats what the sensor did **** *** for any blocked words? But we cant use that? Or SOB or the like? You think if they know what an acronym stands for already, that we're jading em some how? When was the last time you all were around a teenager? Or can remember being one yourself and being around your peers? I get the idea but, feel strongly that this board won't be where they hear it first/last/or most often, even if it were a free for all. If they have access to the INTERNET they've got access to sooooooo very much worse, than even the very worse I've ever seen here. And one would think if a young person was that sheltered in the good old USA in 2012, their Parents wouldn't let em play on the inter web with us adults but, by all means have fun with that.

You can use the filter, but intentionally misspelling the word to avoid the filter (****) or throwing up acronyms like the one mentioned has never been allowed.

I'm not creating a new rule, the rule has always been in place, I am saying it will now be enforced to a new level. I do not want to spend time having to read through posts making sure they're clean as per the rules we agreed to when we joined the board. If we didn't care about the language used here we would not have the filters in the first place.

OK. I think this is obvious, but I'm guessing this goes for video too? Looks like we need to develop more words that are more apporiate that we can use here in substitution to get our point across.

Oh and another question (I'm analytical can you tell?):

How many infractions can one get before banned? And once banned, are we talking suspension for a time period or permnent?

Download your favorite pirated video editing software, and just edit the audio if anything. Photobucket might actually have a built in editor, but I am not real sure...

After ya get banned its prolly conditional. Depends on the circumstances, but if you get enuff infractions to get banned... Ya dun sumpthin wrong! Pretty tolerant folks that drive this bus.

LOL, man one would think you're worried about getting suspended (thanks that's a better description). I honestly don't expect anyone but a real problem child to get suspended. But lets put it at this, and these are specifically for language filter bypassing.

    3 infractions in a week = 1 day suspension
6 infractions in a month = 1 week suspension (unless previously suspended in which case it'd be 2 weeks)
6+ infractions in a single month = You never really wanted to be here long term

Repeated infractions but under the limit will be addressed on a case by case situation.

What other questions do you guys have? I'm cool with getting this as clear as possible for everyone.
