Default More Bitterness on the Coast

I went back to the beach on Friday and Today for some more fun. Yesterday on the Necanicium all I ended up with was a Pair of Re-treads so no pix of them. Left there and at the other place picked up 2 very nice nates.

First to have their pix taken was this girl.

Then the second fish of the day was a brute and caused me to say some dirty words. I had finished landing her and was about to snap the pix when she made a last ditch retreat under some brush to my left. I grabed the rod, and tried to pull her back out of the stuff, but my pole broke. It was my Okuma SST float rod. So maybe I might have put just a little to much pressure on it. That is when the dirty words commenced. Oh yeah and no pix either.

Called it a day. Gave a call to my good friend and he said the couch was mine so I decided to stay the night and give em heck today. Went 3 for 4 today. I'm too tired for story telling. I let the pix do that! Sorry I missed the pizza but I was fishing so I should be excused.

    Nice job on the fish....................

As for the rob, I broke my SST float rod also a while back. I took it back to Fisherman's (where I had bought it) to send it in for repair, easy process. $20 bucks for shipping and they sent it off for me. About 3 weeks later they called and told me it was in so I get there to pick it up and since it was my fault it broke I fully expected to pay the repair cost. But nope, there waiting for me was a brand new rod still in the wrapper, no cost. Very nice surprise.............

Can't say that's how they are always about repairs, but it's worth it to send it in. That's also why I really like Okuma products, because they stand behind them.

Thanks for the info Artwo. I don't think I will bother with this one. I got it at Bi-Mart on Sale for about 30.00 if I remember right. It has served me pretty well in over 2 years of hard work and I will chalk it up to a big fish and a dumb mistake by me. Now if Bi-Mart would just get another one in and put it on sale......
