Howdy,
Blazinfish (Steve) has booked for tomorrow and we need someone else for the other seat. I'll let it go for 125. If you can't go, please let as many people as possible know about it. Also, willing to trade for good condition waders (small to medium sizes) at retail value.
Fishing is good or slow, depends on who you ask. Water is at medium flows and I have heard of enough fish in the lower river since the high water that it should just keep getting better. It's a mix of hatchery and wild fish and they will mostly be chromers! The last SSSF member to go with me was cleanwater101 (Alan) last Friday. He got a chrome hatchery buck, a chrome wild hen and lost another fish that he at least got a good jump out of. Here is the wild hen:
He caught that one on a medium size spin n glo with a whole squid head.
Somehow we never got a photo of the hatchery fish. Oh, well. Picture a chrome, 27" hatchery buck and there you go.
Point is, 2 for 3 on one rod with a chrome buck to take home is decent fishing. I was batting cleanup behind him and didn't have to hand any off, so I'd say he did a pretty good job! It was a beautiful sunny day, too. Bites came on raw prawn meat and the squid. No bites on spinners, pink worms or spoons.
Call me if you are interested.
