Missing Rod End

Took my son fishing at Oxbow on Sunday in the flood plain area. He was casting and got the hook tangled in a bush behind him, gave the line a hard tug and broke the leader and sent the other half of the rod in the water. I tried chasing and casting for it with no luck as it bobbed down the river. Anyway it was suggested to post it in the chance someone found it, like an oar maybe . The rod end is from a Berkley 9'6" spinning 6-12 lb line wt.
