Default Heading to Depoe Bay 10-3

Just got an invite from a friend to do some bottom fishing out of depoe bay this weekend. Heard its been pretty good for lingers with some big ones in the mix. Cabezon are shut down for the year, but there should be plenty of other species to gaff! Hopefully gonna drop some ctab pots as well.

Will give a report when I get back!
"Wanna beer?" "It's 7:00 in the morning." "Scotch?" (From Mr. Mom)

"Just goes to show you this world is full of bast****, that number increasing rapidly the further one gets away from Missoula, Montana." (A River Runs Through It)

Enjoy, you're probably going with Tradewinds they have daily reports posted on their website if you didn't know. According to their reports the weather has sucked since last Wednesday.

I went out with them just a few months ago and wanted to die from seasickness....NEVER again will I bother with the big blue.

We typically take 2 crab pots and leave them over night on dock 1 about 2/3rds down. Nothing like checking them at 7am and finding 9 keepers for 2 pots.

Not going with that outfit...my friend has a guy with a 50ft charter boat

I too am prepared for the woozies...my sea legs haven't been tested for a couple of decades, but I know we aren't heading out too far, and I plan on taking some dramamine

Have you tried taking Meds right before you go to bed and then right before you go out? Seems to work great. I have gone out enough now that I don't even bother with it. But that is how I used to do it with no problems

Yup, I'm just weak, there's no cure for weakness. HAHA

I would do that on a weekly basis in SoCal when we would go diving at Catalina but, I would also sleep on the way there and we stayed on the mellow side of the island. The only time I got over my sickness was when I was forced to be on a Navy LSD for a month and a half. That first week SUCKED.

Hey Gabe, by the mellow side of the island are you referring to the back side of Catalina? Sharks Cove or Crabs Cove? Iv'e camped out that way a few times, it was really good times out there with the bison and the pigs...

I went of Astoria a few years ago on a charter and one of the "guests" had obviously been drinking the night before. When he puked into the wind and it flew past me I could smell the Jack Daniels in the air. Oh man, what a smell. That guy was as green as green to get. I laughed my ass off.

I could tell some stories about Jack Daniels but I'll just say I couldn't touch the stuff for 'nine months' and still can't stomach it, don't ever use it to make screw drivers with sunny D.
