The Bottom Float Rig is a rig to enable your bait to float at any specific depth. You can rig this up to target several species, but many panfish species are feeding at the bottom, and it works great for them! Tie it on when you’re looking for the bottom bite, when you need to control the depth on your bait!

Another method is to use what I call a slip float. You can adjust your bait depth from a few inches to many feet. Used in the 70’s at Toledo bend at Pendleton bridge and load up the boat with crappie and white bass. Was fishing 15-25 ft deep but was using a float.
It's leo the goat… showing us for mystery tackle box..love you leo
I wonder is this will for trout fishing in a lake using a worm and this method….
These are easy to use and highly visible enjoyable.fishing recommend they are extremely valuable for going from a dead drift set up to a float setup. They save time and you don't have to re-tie everything to add a float to your presentation.
A 15 ft leader would work with a slip bobber.
Also, can you make a video on how to cast far when using live bait like mullet or live shrimp without the live bait slip away from the hook or kill them?
Your excitement is great, I really got a kick out of you, good video.
i use those yellow foamy barrel type safety ear plugs to act as floaters ,one works quite well and the foam gives enough tension around the line to keep it in place after adjusting it
well when it comes 15 ft water or more you just use a slip floater ,but this is like the santee cooper rig and both have benefits depending how you like to fish
awesome upload fook the retards disliking
I just wanted to see someone use space between the float and hook and you did it. Thanks! Happy I don't need to re-tie xD…
I found it hard to cast out far with the first set up. with the weight in the middle it only cast only about 7 ft as if it get caugt up in the air or something. Can anyone help with this seem this video is 3 years old
used a variation of this for years, instead of floats we used fishing marshmallows flavored in shrimp or cheese to float the bait above lake weeds in Colorado reservoirs.
What if I put the sinker at the end of the line so it lays on the floor, than the floater about 2 feet above than the bate in the middle?
I caught my first Salmon on this rig
Honestly. It was straight to the point and very educational. Even for 2020 lol I'ma try it out
thats called a santee float rig
I rather use sliding sinker for budget rod if you don't the luxury to own many rods just for this rig.
its a small santee cooper rig. you're welcome.
Thanks!!
There's no need to buy those "best" rig floats just go to any local fly shop and but their cheapest strike indicators.
Where do you get those floats?
