Whats the best legth rod for throwing slightly bigger streamers
Do you find you're more successful on a river that sized chasing smallmouth with small flies rather than a conventional spinning rod?
I wanna get into fly fishing and tying my own flies but I'm trying to validate the purchases. Help me out here.
Enjoyed this video very much! People always assume fly fishing is strictly trout related (me included) but this made it clear you can catch multiple species if you fish it correctly. Thanks for sharing
Not only giving advice, but also catching fish to back up what you're saying. You guys deserve a million subs.
The Kenny Powers of fly fishing?
I hate to ask a stupid question, but what are those “resources” for finding out where those fish are?
Great stuff! But I would like to see more content about presentation both up and down stream. I usually wade upstream to keep the noise behind me but always wondered if the fly should move towards or away from likely holding spots. Love your work guys
Excellent video. Makes me want to visit. Would to see you visit Chicago for Lake Michigan bronzebacks. Tight lines.
Great video and awesome intel.
Steven made the show with his, shall we say "unorthodox " scouting methods. Hahaha!🐟
Where are you in Alabama?
I love both wild fly and blue line flies. I’m brand new to fishing and fly fishing at that. I liked the skill and the challenge of fly fishing. Now I’m hooked, but here in Columbus Ohio, smallmouth really is what I’m going for. We only have 2 stocked rivers for trout, and I’m not buying a musky rod as a newbie. So these guys have helped me so much. Once I get some extra money, and stock comes back at blue like flies, I’m buying me a bunch of flies. You guys deserve my support with the content you guys make! I’m also getting a wild fly hat.
Best fly fishing for smallies video I have seen!
best informative fishing video that i have ever seen. Well done and Thank You!
Do you guys ever use dry flies? On the Susquehanna North Branch we have Sulphurs all summer in the evening and the epic White Fly hatch. Pig smallies give themselves up willingly taking the dry imitations.
Super! Thanks! And yes, more smallie stuff
If yall do any meet ups here in Alabama let us know
Great Video! Thanks
Best video ever on smallmouth!
Love this rod enjoyable.fishing recommend You can feel the tiniest of bites. Great action. Definitely worth every y. Paired this rod with a Clash 3000. Love this setup.
Make this same video but for trout fishing streamers!
In nc like what you are doing just starting out with the fly we do more large mouth up here if you have any input please let me know.
You guys are fantastic
Is this stream part of the Sipsy River or Cahaba River?
River smallmouth on the fly are my Nirvana….would happily fish them every day for the rest of my life. Nice video.
Lol, it's crazy how different the same fish act in different areas, biggest smallmouth I've ever caught I got on a popper, I really dig this video, lots of very good information presented in a very easy to understand way.
Thanks for the video. Smallie fishing with a fly rod rocks! 🙂 Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Im seeing this in September. You must be killing it. Sold out of all flys. Wanted to try at Lake Casitas. And local ponds. Maybe next year. Don't see why large mouth would not eat them too.
Is that Kenny Powers?
I'm a beginner at 58 years. I tried trout years ago (25 plus) and I suck. Going to try again but you need more fly tyers yer 'bout all sold out! Love ya!!
This dude's got Kenny Powers vibes; sounds exactly like him hahahah.
95% of your flies are "SOLD OUT!"…….SUP?
Fantastic video, great content. Excellent info on leaders and length too. Teaching while fishing is really appreciated 🎯‼️
video is super helpful! just got my first 8wt fly rod with weight forward floating line. after spin fishing for years, i have been missing out! these things are a blast on the fly!
Awesome job on the video.
Great Video! Starting into small mouth bass in central Ohio, by far the most helpful video I have watched. Thank you!
I wish blue line would ship to Aus would love to try there flies on some Aussie Bass 🎣 great vid legends 👌
How is the fishing in Feb/Mar in your area?
Excellent information!
Ya'll see that rise @7:24?
Thanks was just asking about this….get them on the spinning gear, but don't do well on the fly rod….it's strange. I just got to put in more time with the fly rod. I'm in Michigan and we have alot of big Smallmouth. But I haven't done well with streamers for them. Nice area by the way.
