How about a little poolside chat? My attempt to go hyper-local today was thwarted by an exploding tailgate glass – strange days indeed! If you are looking for information, the fly fishing opportunities are improving all across the State of Texas. Some dams that were open to epic flows have shut down, and some of our lake dams that have been holding? Well, they are now letting it go! Bringing lake levels down, lakes like Ray Roberts, is a huge deal. It reveals flats that were waist deep, taking them down to levels that give fly fishers a chance to sight cast to carp and other species – AND ACTUALLY SIGHT the fish!
In the rivers, those with huge flows have left behind a bounty of fish and bait. Once that flow gets cut, well … you know what happens!
