I guess that is what the Navy calls the Helen Keller aim and shoot method. Shoot long enough and you might hit your target. Aim small miss small? That went out the window
It’s not easy to shoot from a moving boat, at a moving target… but I’m sure having a machine gun helps!

Those Mk 38 MOD 2 25mm gun systems are actually much more use to modern threats like drones than Phalanx which is incredibly inaccurate and has little chance of hitting anything avoiding being hit.
They sure are not very good shots. Looks like the navy needs some training
