I've set up my own tests on these same knots and used different brands and thicknesses of both mono and braid lines.
Without intending any arguments or disputes but the winner was : FG knot (wins every time)

Why is this called a GT knot when the tested GT knot is a totally different knot? most importantly the one tested (the actual GT knot) starts with a bimni twist loop on the braid side. – this seems deceptive and probably will cause some lost fish and tackle

What is GT and FG knot?

if you use braided line on a spin reel, should you add mono or fluorocarbon line as a leader and how much leader do you add. this would be for freshwater fishing

Try the Yukatan Knot. I can't find another knot that beats this one. Example: 20lb braid main to 10lb mono leader. During a pull test until failure, the 20lb braid snaps just be for the knot. The Yuatan Knot remains tied and unharmed. The mono remains intact and unharmed. The part that blows my mind the most about the Yukatan, is how 10lb mono wins against the 20lb braid in every test. The Yukatan is much easier to tie than the GT as well.
