Trout Fishing In Arkansas On The Little Red River
A Day Of Fly Fishing The Little Red River: Hooked a bunch and landed a few fly fishing on the Little Red River in Heber Springs Arkansas last week.
The weather and generation schedule was perfect so I took advantage of it and made the trip up for a few hour of fly fishing. #flyfishing #flyfishingarkansas #Arkansas
I started with a size 18 bead head sowbug then tied on a larva lace sow bug tied with tan thread and clear larva lace. The last fly I used was a gold ribbed hares ear size 18. The action was pretty steady with all of them.

Glad I just discovered your videos. Somewhat new to fly fishing. Fished the Little Red for the first time on Friday. What is the hook remover you are using?
You’re going to keep missing hook ups setting upstream and setting like you see on orvis t shirts. Try setting like you’re stripping a streamer hard as you can or setting towards your right shoulder towards the bank in that situation. Trout don’t bite they suck so your pulling the fly right out of their mouth
What weight fly line and tippets are the best for the little red?

Great video! I’m planning on fishing the Little Red this coming weekend. I’m just starting to transition from spin to fly fishing and was wondering if you have a “go to” fly for that stretch of river? Or have any other advice for this very green novice?

Great video. I tried fly fishing a couple times. I was super clumsy at it. I’m going to continue working on it because there a couple areas around Bend OR that I like to fish that you can only fly fish barbless.
