Nice presentation. I feel like I'm the fish with all the sensation!
Nice catches, but who needs long pants on the beach?
Great great video. What rig did you have there?
What do you recommend for a surf rod
Yea, that looks like fun.
The bb bum is outstanding
do you guys and wire leader?
would this method work on snappers or whitting?
We need our water looking like that again….Been so weedy
I think the first catch is a great example of why treble hooks are bad. Nothing good comes from using treble hooks for catch and release….or even catch 'n keep. They can hook top and bottom of the mouth, damage other parts of the fish, catch the angler trying to get them out, ruin nets….and some stories of the fish being out of the water too long dealing with the removal. I am switching to all single in-line hooks. Nothing is worth the trouble of trebles.
Matt is a great guide and teacher! You could not have picked a better person for this course. Looking forward to seeing the full course! Thanks! Stay Safe and Healthy
Great choice choosing Bama Beach Bum
What is the setup u were using
u talk too much dude
could tell me please What is the fishing rod brand in this video?
Probably the best lure for me on the beach is doc goofy jig, white spro buck tail jigs, or diamond spoon the one that Bama bum use is a vertical jig perfect for bridge in Tampa area
do you use a wire leader???
Beach Bum!!
Bama, what size weight do you recommend for that diamond jig.
Glad to see Bama beach bum join the team! Love watching his content and learning from him
What kind of rod and size you use for that
Skinner would of done a far superior job than this fool..he doesn't even know how to cast a surf rod properly…what a googan.
yawn… another Fla sellout… bummer
What would be the ideal length rod for this?
A Penn Battle II 6000 might be a solid reel for this type of fishing.
Max Inches Per Turn: 41
Max Gear Ratio: 5.6:1
Line Capacity: 490 yards of 30-pound braid
Hey Bama…happy for ya brother…what stick were using for the video? Looked like a perfect action for casting that lure.
Can you recommend an ideal setup rod and reel for surf fishing?
I just stand still when I surf cast. If I ran around like that I'd be exhausted in an hour!
Look at you go! I've been watching you since before you met Brant. I just became a saltstrong insider, but I've been buying lures and things but I've always wanted to surf fish and never had the opportunity. I will watch the course. Stay bummy!!
bullshit
I LIKE YOUR ROD
could tell me please What is the fishing rod brand in this video?
GREAT BRO
could tell me please What is the fishing rod brand in this video?
great video. dardevle spoons are my lure of choice (copy cat, sea devle. devle dog).
Great addition to the team Salt Strong. Is Matthew still selling those Bummy Sticks? Was that a 9-footer?
Check out some epoxy jigs too!! I love throwing them up here in the northeast in late summer for Spanish, falsies, bonito, and blues. Put a flashy streamer/ teaaser up in front and throw it with a light surf rod and its the most fun you can have with your clothes on.
