Dude makin’ a saltwater fishing tip video in an Oklahoma snow storm. Don’t think we will be seeing any more of these. 🤣🤣. I prefer the FG knot, especially for inshore. I use a long leader (8+ ft), and the FG knot slides easily through the guides. For spinning rods, I just prefer the feel of mono or fluoro than braid. The downside is that it is a pain to tie in the yak on a windy day. I usually use a double uni if it is windy or rough water, but this one seems easier, so I’ll give it a go.
I know this knot works really well joining mono, floro or co-polimor but was not sure if it would work with braid.

Knot I have used for ages and it doesn't fail, use it just cause it is easy on the yak like you say. While your buddy is fooling around with some other knot you are fishing! good stuff man.
