That's a terrible way to fight a fire under the hood of a car… guatanteed to fail in the real world.
you just DO NOT open the hood of the car, that feeds oxygen to the fire, which with an engine oil/fuel fire is just stupid.
Get your extinguisher ready, then only open a small gap while you spray/fire the extinguisher through the gap on the fire.
